Ready to do something

different with your time?

It may be time to be rewarded for what you’ve built, and sell your site while it’s still on top.

Does this sound like you?

You've spent countless hours pouring your time and energy into your website.

As time went on, you've seen a lot of success with your site.  You've watched your traffic grow over the years, and probably your site's income as well.  Checking the stats, often with a smile, as things got going.

I've been there.  It takes a lot of work to build a site out from scratch.  It can also be a whole lot of fun.

There's so much to learn when you're getting started.  Figuring out all that new stuff can be really satisfying. Talking about a topic you're really passionate about can bring a lot of joy as well.

Today, you may be years down the road from when you started.  If you have the same passion about your site that you did when you first started building it, that's great to hear.

Many times that's not how it goes.

That initial excitement of creating content, and learning to build your traffic, may be starting to fade.  Perhaps it faded a while ago, but you've continued on with the maintenance of running the site.

You may have even thought it's sort of becoming a drag every time there's something your site or audience needs.

There probably are updates your site needs to really keep humming along.  There could be content that needs updated.  It could need a theme or software update.  These things can sometimes wait, right?

Maybe there's better idea than just letting your site sit idol.

Over time this always catches up with you.  It may not be right away, but over time, a site without attention will slowly (or sometimes not so slowly) lose rankings, traffic, income and value.

If any of this sounds like you, it may be in your best interest to consider selling your site while it's still doing well.

You could relieve yourself of the maintenance hassles, take the cash that your site is worth, and rest assured that your site will live on.

I can help you do that.

Why Other Website Owners Have Been Happy With My Process

Simple

My evaluation process is quick and easy.  The entire sales process can take as little as a few days.

Competitive Offer

Sales like these only work if it is a win-win deal.  I won't waste your time with an unfair offer.

Remove Risk

I use escrow.com to remove the risk of the sales process.  That's not the only risk website owners face. Selling your site today rather than delaying, removes the risk that search engine's have on your site's value and income.

About Me.

My name is Eric Spitzley.  I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.  I’ve been involved in both retail and online businesses since 2002.  I’ve been a founding partner in two retail businesses since then.  More importantly, I have experience building websites from the ground up, and buying sites as an investment.  I've helped many people just like yourself, earn what their site is worth.

I began developing websites back in 2005.  Since 2011, I’ve had a focus on buying developed, high traffic, informational websites.  This can be a mutually beneficial exchange for both me and current site owners who may have in interest in selling.

Fuzzy Green Teeth is my online media company.

I purchase informational websites, of a wide range of topics.

I pay top dollar for sites that are a good fit for my business.

I published this site to help people learn more about me and what I do.

You can see my company has been around since 2005 here https://businesssearch.ohiosos.gov/ by searching for Fuzzy Green Teeth.

Why in the world would someone sell their website?

There are plenty of other reasons.  You of course may have your own, but these two seem to be the most common.

It's Not Enjoyable Anymore

This is probably the most common motivator.  Starting a website can be a lot of fun.  Even running a website can be enjoyable, until it’s not.  If this feeling sets in, if it starts to feel like more of a chore, it might be a good time to start thinking about selling your site.

I’m sure you know, there are people working tirelessly every day for those top keyword spots in the Google.  Without regularly updating your site, these other sites will start to erode your rankings.  Sometimes slowly, sometimes more quickly.  Without attention, it’s inevitable that it will eventually happen.

Search Engine Risk

Google can give, and Google can take away.  Most successful informational sites have found their success after being ranked well in Google.  Good site building practices go a long way in stabilizing your ranking in Google.  Unfortunately, with as many changes that Google makes each year, there is always a daily risk to search engine traffic.

This quote from Moz.com helps illustrate how often the Google algorithm is updated.  Unfortunately, sometimes these affect well-built sites that have only used above the board SEO practices, and don’t just punish risky SEO.

The frequency of updates is truly incredible.

“Each year, Google makes hundreds of changes to search. In 2018, they reported an incredible 3,234 updates — an average of almost 9 per day, and more than 8 times the number of updates in 2009. While most of these changes are minor, Google occasionally rolls out a major algorithmic update (such as Panda and Penguin) that affects search results in significant ways.”

IS IT SAFE TO SELL A SITE ONLINE TO SOMEONE YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT?

Escrow is the great protector.

There can be risk to both the buyer and seller with a website sale.

I complete purchases using the escrow service at escrow.com.  They are a third party that protects both the buyer and seller.  It’s safe, reliable, and simple to use.

You can learn more about their service by clicking here.

Here's the basic protection.  The seller is authorized to transfer ownership of their website only after Escrow.com has possession of the funds.  Funds are then released from escrow.com to the seller after the transfer has been completed.

If there really are risks to owning websites, why in the world would I buy them?

It’s about risk management.

When I first started looking to buy sites, I had some success online already.  Sadly, I also had sites fall from the good graces of Google, overnight.  Great, well earning sites, that were worthless, overnight.

For me, this idea of buying sites was primarily a way to quickly spread the risk of income loss, among many sites.  If one site lost traffic, it wouldn’t be as painful.

You know the old saying, don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

Depending on a single site to continue producing income for the long term is just too risky.

Why sell to me rather than somewhere else?

My process is simple, and my offer competitive.

I won’t waste your time with a low-ball offer.  If I want to buy sites, I know my offers have to be competitive. With the amount of time it takes to find high quality websites worth purchasing, it would be a waste of time to make an offer that wasn’t attractive to a seller.  It has to be a win-win.

I also know I have to make the entire process easy.  One of the big hurdles to selling a site is the worry about how much work the process will be.  I can complete a purchase in as little as 3 business days, and with as little as a few hours spent on your part.

Here's how the process went with others.

Everything worked smoothly and I was confident that it would once I discovered that escrow.com is the service that eBay recommends for users of eBay motors. I had thought about selling my site many times, but aside from listing it on the SBI Forums I didn't really know how to best go about actually making the sale. I'm thrilled that we were able to come to an agreement and a deal.

I thought the speed of the process was terrific. As well as the assurance that the money would be deposited into my account without hassles or extra fees. We Canadians commonly pay a lot of banking fees, especially with foreign currency transactions! It was also helpful to have a professional sale agreement to sign.

I was concerned that the process would be difficult, take a long time, and that I would need to figure out how to transition the website over smoothly.

I found that the process was not difficult at all, it was quick, and I didn’t have to figure out what to do. Eric was knowledgeable and provided all the information I needed for a smooth and easy transition.

I liked that Eric replied quickly to all my questions and answered them with details so I understood all the information. I also liked how Eric was well-organized and kept me informed about every step.
All steps were clear and simple. Eric took care of the details, and let me know clearly what I needed to do. Eric took care of each task in a timely manner, so the process did not take very long.
I would definitely recommend this because the process is secure and easy with clear communication.

Eric is thorough, polite, and a pleasure to deal with.

It was time for me to move on to my current interests and not look back. If I'd kept the site, I would feel obligated to keep improving it or answering user’s questions. It was time for a change and I'm now pursuing other endeavors.

The selling and transfer process was pretty easy. But the one specific thing I liked most was probably the feeling that the site was going to live on.

Another benefit of selling the site to you would be the feeling that you tried to have everything as streamlined as possible - and willing to explain things thoroughly.

I would recommend Eric as a buyer, mainly because he was easy to work with.
